My Mind Wanders

This picture is inspiring me:

I don’t have a sloping roof like that, so it must be something about the wood and the colour. I even like the simple light – always like wall-mounted lights as long as I can read by them.

This picture inspires me too:

I have downloaded just about every image of a simple navy sailor’s hat on the internet – shhhh, it’s a secret! All will be revealed.

I like the room too – if I walked in for the first time and saw it, I’d be excited. It makes me think of late afternoon light coming slanted through windows and warming everything.

As for sailors’ hats – the mind boggles.

    i love mysteries. sailor hats?!!
also like the rustic wood with the modern light.
i think your linen would be prettier on the bed. in that natural color that’s so beautiful.
tartan is my favorite. never get tired of it. though i like the deep rich tones ~ not pastels.
hope your market day in the bay was wonderful.

I second Tammy on the comment about having your lovely nubby linen on the bed instead – it would just seem so much more fitting against that stunning natural wood.
