What I want for Christmas

Danielle Boudrot has great discernment and an accurately named blog – also she is personally responsible for my favorite photo of all time - but for the moment I am hopelessly mesmerised by the fish mobile from Alexander Calder.

I don’t think my hints will be picked up this year as it didn’t have a price, and is an original from 1941. Pity.

  1. You have wonderful taste. I love Calder.

I would have to imagine a few hundred thousand, no?

A Thoughtful Eye, and loads of talent! And I’d love to see your version of the fish. Would love to have a work space like his with all those windows!

A replica perhaps? Suitably scaled down for a domestic space. http://www.modmobiles.com/

    Hello Trisha,

You must have gone into my Spam box because I think your blog is delicious, creative and a delight to read. I love your picture in the pretty apron.

Please resend your picture to me. I promise I will use it with the greatest of pleasure — you may tell me a little story as well if you would be so kind.

    Warm regards,

  7. I hope your Christmas wish comes true! And that is a very cool photo!

  8. Do something all your own. You are deeply inspired by art, so, you can invent your dream piece. If you can’t do it yourself, find a local artist to execute your idea. You will have ownership, and love it forever.
