Provencal Song

Could Kit Golson have chosen a better time to announce her May Provence tour? This is what we are like at the moment
high tide, lashing rain, low sun.
With the holiday season looming I can almost smell the pine air above Toulon, the lavender in Haute Provence, delicious newly-baked bread and fresh coffee tempting me out of bed before another magical day in the magical French countryside.

We had a house in Provence for eleven years, in the Var, and loved it dearly, but of course tended to make a beeline there and not linger in the markets and brocantes on the way there. Maybe it is time for me to re-visit?

That sounds magical. I have never been to Provence–it must have been amazing to have a house there.

Have never been there – think you should go again and take lots of photos so I can enjoy it through your camera lense! Love the window reflection photo!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

    a house in provence.
why does that sound so magical?
    is it my mindset?
is it my lack of imagination?
    why does
    a house in oklahoma
somehow not kindle the same fire?
    GRIN.
you know. i’m blooming where i’m planted.
    and all that rot.
but thankful i am, that i’m blooming anywhere.
    actually.

    merry turkey day.

  5. Far as I’m concerned it’s always a good time to head for Provence. Used to go frequently, now not for many years. I am wanting to go very much these days. Just to convince DH and find someplace affordable (as it used to be!) to land. Jane
