A Sweet Spot in a Bleak Day

I made her a big, soft floppy cushion to fit the basket, put it in front of the woodstove and she hopped in as if she had had one all her life.

Someone very dear to me used to ask, “Why is it that in winter the warmest spot in the house always seems to follow the cat?”

    Tricia,
I am appalled that none of your commenters have noticed the terrible things you do to a mermaid’s bear bottom!

Down with cats — I support the mermaids!!!!

    Happy Hogmanay

Happy new year to you. I see the Kitty is lucky enough to have a rough linen bed….by the fire… dont think one could have it any better than that.
I made my feral kitties habitats against the cold weather with hay and upside down plastic storage boxes. I actually left the porch door open becasue it was in the twenties and snowed at the beach.
