Walking on Water

I really need my daily walk round the marina, out along the breakwater, broken and rough underfoot, parts submerged at high tide, right to the end where the cairns are.
Bumper crop!

Some are obviously made by children

but others are masterful

They are a way of communicating.  One person finishes a pile with a flat little cap, then another does too.

One person balances stones asymmetrically, or with two side by side… and it catches on.
I love it.  I never know what I’ll find, or what I’ll make.  Pure play.

That is so cool. I've never seen anything like that before. I love it and can see why it would become an important part of your day.

Artfully stacked rocks always stop me in my tracks. Adore them!
