A Little Frivolity – Show and Tell

This is a first for me, I am joining Cindy’s Show and Tell on http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ – if I can master the technology (and since I just put her into italics instead of creating the link, it might all be a bit uphill this morning).

The photo is a closeup of part of my driftwood headboard, which I love dearly. It has become in a way the essence of what I am doing in this house: handmade, simple, free(!), fun. It is ungrateful of me I know, but if something is for sale I don’t want it! Like a stubborn toddler I growl “I want to make it myself!” Or find it somewhere, or rescue it.

Note: this doesn’t apply to appliances. They need to be very, very efficient, and invisible if possible.

Funny, I'm like that about a lot of things, too … I mean wanting to make things for myself. Your driftwood headboard is magical; I'll bet you sleep like a baby there.

I love that beautiful freesia tucked into the driftwood, the contrast of the delicate petals against the roughened wood is lovely!
