Home Again

Clean, hair washed, in my best nightie with a never-ending cup of tea to hand after my adventures Down Under and a desiccating flight. I have orders stacked high and will start on them little later, but for now I am luxuriating in the glow of having Done Good, saving my mum from the nursing home and teaching her Amy Winehouse’s I Don’t Want to Go to Rehab.
Sarah from http://www.abeachcottage.com/my_weblog/2010/04/beach-cottage-bedroom-flowers-from-the-front-vintage-things.html has some of my experimental pink and natural cushions in her wonderful photos, and I haven’t yet had a chance to chat with her about them, despite being in the same city (for eighteen hours…). Apart from anything else I haven’t named them yet! Sarah makes everything look good, and usually makes me laugh too – and she hasn’t sold her soul. Find her blog if you haven’t already, this girl is Going Places.
It is so wonderful to sit under my fan and gaze out over the blue and green of water and reeds, even if my rugs are covered in long white cat hairs. How a little cat (admittedly Maine coons are very long-haired) can generate that amount of fluff is a constant wonder.
The parties for the Sonoma Film Festival have already started and guess what? I’m ducking out until tomorrow.
