A Door

I don’t know where I found this photo, but I love the roughness of the door, the red barn paint on the surround, and most of all, the trumpetty thing on the lintel, hinting at strange things inside.

    It does indeed look like strange and magical things might go on behind it.
    Maybe the trumpet heralds things to come on the other side.
    Did you know that the paint often used on barns, even as late as the turn of the 19th century was milk paint. Yes paint made of milk and natural pigments and lime.
